Accomplishments
I consider the following as my key achievements during my professional career as a software engineer:
I helped to create four generations of iTero scanners
- Worked with the Hardware team from the earliest prototypes to the production design (two HW-related patents)
- Was one of the key developers behind the unique iTero Lumina hardware design
- We made a solid product that stands well against strong competition
I was the principal developer of the C++ algorithmic core for the iTero Lumina scanner.
- Led a software team that produced the initial proof-of-concept implementation of Lumina software
- Implemented a data-driven multithreaded app engine utilizing an actor framework (largely based on our previous designs)
- Designed and implemented the SLAM component of the scanner (with some genuinely new and impressive algorithms)
- Flawlessly transitioned from software made by one team to a project that hundreds of people worked on
I designed an automatic quality assurance system for the last 2 generations of iTero scanners
- Automatic verification of 3D surface quality
- Detailed performance logging with low overhead and automatic tests that validate application performance
I also mentored several good software developers and fostered their professional growth
